Jalen Johnson recorded his second consecutive triple-double and guided Atlanta to a 131-116 win over Washington on Saturday night at Capital One Arena.

The forward finished with 30 points, 12 rebounds and 12 assists, marking his fourth triple-double of the season as the Hawks moved to 14-11.

Atlanta controlled the interior by winning the rebounding battle 45-26 and generating a 70-42 advantage in paint scoring.

Johnson crossed the triple-double mark with a defensive rebound late in the third quarter, one night after putting up 21 points, 18 boards and 16 assists in a narrow home loss to Denver.

Onyeka Okongwu supplied 21 points on 10-for-17 shooting and added nine rebounds, helping the visitors end their three-game skid.

Vít Krejci provided a major lift off the bench with 14 points, hitting three of his four 3-point attempts in the fourth quarter to break the game open.

Atlanta led by as many as 20 in the second quarter and 18 in the third before Washington mounted a push.

The Wizards used a 23-8 run to even the game at 97 early in the fourth behind timely perimeter shooting.

CJ McCollum scored 28 points and made seven 3-pointers, keeping Washington competitive despite the club dropping to 3-19 after a third straight defeat.

Kyshawn George and Justin Champagnie contributed three 3s each as the Wizards finished 17-for-38 from long distance.

Atlanta answered Washington’s surge with an 8-0 spurt sparked by consecutive threes from Krejci, restoring control and preventing another late-game collapse.

Zaccharie Risacher added 15 points off the bench, hitting six of seven shots, and Luke Kennard chipped in 11 as the Hawks’ reserves outscored Washington’s 50-42.

Dyson Daniels and Nickeil Alexander-Walker combined for 29 points and seven assists while helping maintain defensive pressure on Washington’s backcourt.

Bub Carrington posted 14 points and nine assists for the Wizards, while Tristan Vukcevic reached 18 points on 7-for-14 shooting in his reserve role.

Washington stayed connected through its perimeter accuracy but could not close the gap once Atlanta’s bench regained momentum.

The Hawks finished 53 percent from the field and converted all 14 free throws, while the Wizards shot 51 percent overall and 89 percent at the line.

Atlanta also forced Washington into 20 turnovers, turning several of those miscues into transition scoring during the second-half push.

The Hawks now turn their attention to a road game against Detroit on Friday night.

The Wizards return home to face Cleveland on Friday as they search for a way out of the conference cellar.
