Alperen Sengun scored 28 points with 10 rebounds to lead the Houston Rockets past the Sacramento Kings 121-95 at Toyota Center.

Kevin Durant added 24 points and eight assists, while Amen Thompson recorded 20 points, 12 rebounds and seven assists to help Houston avoid consecutive losses.

Sengun also contributed four steals as the Rockets’ defense forced turnovers and controlled the paint throughout the game.

The Kings led 52-51 at halftime, but Houston opened the third quarter with a 10-0 run, fueled by Sengun’s 20 second-half points.

Houston shot 52.7% from the field and outrebounded Sacramento 62-32, dominating both the boards and fast-break opportunities.

Durant connected on five of 16 shots, including all four free throws, while Thompson went 8-for-16 from the field and perfect from the line.

Sacramento’s Maxime Raynaud and Malik Monk each scored 25 points, but the Kings struggled to match Houston’s efficiency and interior presence.

The Rockets led by as many as 26 in the fourth quarter after extending their third-quarter momentum with transition scoring and ball movement.

Houston’s bench added crucial support, contributing 29 points with solid defense to maintain a steady double-digit lead.

Sacramento’s perimeter shooting fell to 29% on 10-of-34 attempts, and the Kings committed 17 turnovers that led directly to Rockets points.

The Rockets improved to 14-5, rebounding from a loss to Utah, while the Kings fell to 5-17, remaining near the bottom of the Western Conference standings.

Houston hosts Phoenix on Friday, aiming to build on the dominating performance, while Sacramento will travel to Miami on Saturday for a challenging road matchup.
