Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored 37 points and dished out eight assists to lead the Oklahoma City Thunder to a 123-119 victory over the Phoenix Suns on Friday at Paycom Center. The win capped a perfect 4-0 record for the Thunder in West Group A and advanced them to the NBA Cup knockout round.

Gilgeous-Alexander poured in 15 points over the final seven minutes, making four of five shots down the stretch to preserve Oklahoma City’s 11th straight victory. Chet Holmgren added 23 points and eight rebounds, while Jalen Williams contributed 11 points and eight assists in his return from wrist surgery.

Collin Gillespie led Phoenix with 24 points, Devin Booker scored 21 with eight rebounds, and Dillon Brooks added 19, but the Suns fell short despite hitting 15 three-pointers. Phoenix repeatedly cut the lead to a single point in the fourth, but Gilgeous-Alexander’s key three-point play and clutch shooting kept the Thunder ahead.

Oklahoma City matched the Suns’ 15 three-pointers and outrebounded Phoenix 51-38, showcasing efficiency on both ends. Gilgeous-Alexander now has a streak of 92 consecutive games with at least 20 points, tying Wilt Chamberlain for the second-longest streak in NBA history.

The Thunder overcame multiple late-game runs from Phoenix, including a Gillespie 3-pointer that pulled the Suns to 115-114, with Gilgeous-Alexander responding immediately from deep. Tyler Kolek and Alex Caruso also made critical contributions off the bench to sustain Oklahoma City’s lead.

Looking ahead, the Suns host Denver on Saturday, while the Thunder travel to Portland on Sunday. Oklahoma City’s dominant start and consistent performance position them as a top contender in both the NBA Cup and regular-season standings.
