Franz Wagner poured in a season-high 37 points to lead the Orlando Magic to a 133-121 victory over the New York Knicks on Saturday at the Kia Center in Orlando. The win marked Orlando’s sixth in seven games, improving their record to 10-7.

Wagner’s standout performance included seven points during a decisive 13-0 fourth-quarter run that helped the Magic pull away. Desmond Bane added 27 points, while Jalen Suggs contributed 26, both setting season highs. Bane’s three-pointer late in the third quarter broke a 93-93 tie, giving Orlando a lead they would not relinquish.

Anthony Black provided a spark off the bench with 11 points, four assists, and three steals. Despite missing Paolo Banchero for a fifth straight game due to a groin strain, the Magic maintained efficient shooting, finishing at 55.3% from the field.

For New York, Jalen Brunson led the team with 33 points and 11 assists. Karl-Anthony Towns added 24 points and eight rebounds, while Mikal Bridges scored 18 points. Josh Hart contributed 12 points before fouling out with 2:34 remaining, after losing the ball in the backcourt and drawing a technical on a play involving Suggs.

Orlando erased an early 10-point deficit with a 14-0 run in the second half, during which Wagner scored eight points, propelling the Magic into control. The Knicks shot 54.4% for the game but were hampered by Landry Shamet exiting with a shoulder injury early in the first quarter. OG Anunoby also missed a second consecutive game with a strained hamstring.

Coach Jamahl Mosley did not return for the second half after falling ill, but the team’s depth carried them through. Orlando’s efficient offense and timely runs proved decisive, allowing the Magic to secure their second win over the Knicks in just 11 days.

The Magic will visit the Boston Celtics on Sunday, while the Knicks head to Brooklyn on Monday night.
