Kel’el Ware recorded 20 points and 14 rebounds, while Norman Powell added 19 as the Miami Heat crushed the Chicago Bulls 143-107 on Friday at United Center. The victory marked Miami’s fourth game this season scoring over 140 points, matching its total from the last seven seasons combined.
Bam Adebayo contributed 18 points, and Pelle Larsson and Davion Mitchell each scored 16 as the Heat extended their offensive dominance. Miami led by as many as 41 in the closing minutes.
Chicago’s top scorers included Ayo Dosunmu with 23 points and Josh Giddey, who had 19 points, 11 rebounds, and nine assists. Jalen Smith added 14 points, but the Bulls struggled to keep pace after Miami’s decisive first-half surge.
Miami took control with a 53-21 run late in the first half, building a 25-point advantage that Chicago could not overcome. The Bulls lost Kevin Huerter to an ejection in the third quarter and also saw Matas Buzelis (ankle) and Dalen Terry (calf) leave due to injuries.
The Heat shot 47% from the field, including 37% from three, while Chicago made just 28% of their three-point attempts. Miami maintained consistent scoring across all quarters, finishing with 143 points, their second-highest margin of the season.
Miami improved to 10-6 overall and 2-1 in NBA Cup games, remaining competitive in East Group C behind Milwaukee. Chicago fell to 8-7 overall and 1-2 in the tournament, dropping to fourth in the group.
The Heat will face Philadelphia on Sunday, while the Bulls host Washington on Saturday.
