Golden State Warriors veteran Draymond Green recently opened up about a conversation with new teammate Al Horford that offered him a fresh perspective on his past altercation with Jordan Poole.
“Man, so the elephant in the room, I have to ask you, like we got to know, what happened with you and Jordan Poole, like why?” Horford asked Green, sparking an hour-long discussion, Green recalled in a conversation with Jordan Schultz.
The Warriors forward described the exchange as “very deep,” noting that Horford’s straightforward approach helped him reflect on the incident in a constructive way.
Green, 35, has been a cornerstone of Golden State’s defense and leadership, averaging 7.9 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 5.7 assists in 15 games this season. His ability to mentor younger players remains a key part of his role alongside Stephen Curry (27.9 PPG) and Jimmy Butler (20.1 PPG).
Horford, 39, brings a veteran presence that complements Green’s leadership style. In 11 games this season, he has averaged 5.7 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 1.7 assists, helping stabilize the frontcourt while providing insight and guidance to teammates.
