Jarrett Allen recorded 30 points and 10 rebounds, leading the Cleveland Cavaliers to a 130-116 victory over the Miami Heat on Wednesday night at Kaseya Center. De’Andre Hunter added 21 points, while Craig Porter Jr. contributed 19 points, nine assists, and four blocks for the Cavaliers.
Cleveland overcame a 14-point deficit in the third quarter, turning it into a 99-98 lead with just over 10 minutes left. The Cavs outscored Miami 31-18 in the final 10 minutes to secure the win and stop the Heat’s four-game streak.
Lonzo Ball scored 15 points with eight assists, and Tyrese Proctor finished with 12 points on 4-for-15 shooting. Cleveland capitalized on 21 Miami turnovers, scoring 29 points off the mistakes.
Miami was led by Norman Powell’s 27 points, with Davion Mitchell adding 16. Andrew Wiggins posted 17 points, nine rebounds, and six assists, but five turnovers hampered the Heat. Kel’el Ware added 15 points and 13 rebounds for Miami.
The Cavs were without All-Stars Darius Garland, Donovan Mitchell, and Evan Mobley, while Miami was missing Bam Adebayo and Tyler Herro. Despite key absences, Cleveland displayed balanced scoring and efficient shooting, connecting on 43.3% of their field goals.
After trailing by as many as 12 points in the second quarter, Cleveland finished the half strong with a 15-4 run to cut the deficit to three. Allen and Hunter led the rally, ensuring the Cavaliers never trailed again in the second half.
Cleveland improves to 8-4, while Miami falls to 7-5 and drops to 1-7 against Cleveland over the last eight games. The Cavaliers will host Toronto on Thursday, while the Heat visit New York on Friday.
