Anthony Edwards scored 35 points and added six assists to lead the Minnesota Timberwolves to a 120-113 win over the Utah Jazz on Monday at the Delta Center. Edwards marked his ninth consecutive 30-point game against Utah, the longest streak any NBA player has had against the Jazz.
Julius Randle contributed 27 points, eight rebounds, and seven assists, while Rudy Gobert added 14 points and 12 boards as Minnesota extended its winning streak to three games. The Timberwolves have now won five of their last six contests.
Keyonte George led Utah with 27 points, and Lauri Markkanen scored 23, but the Jazz fell to 3-7 on the season. Utah used a 10-0 run at the end of the first quarter to take a 30-26 lead, with George scoring 12 points on 5-of-6 shooting.
Minnesota responded with its own 10-0 run late in the second quarter to take a 47-46 lead, fueled by Randle’s baskets and assists. The Timberwolves dominated early in the third, opening an 86-64 lead after outscoring the Jazz 33-9 in the first 8½ minutes.
The Jazz managed to trim the deficit to single digits in the fourth quarter but never got closer than seven points. Minnesota’s balanced attack and timely shooting allowed the team to maintain control through the final buzzer.
Edwards scored efficiently, hitting 13 of 25 from the field and 5 of 9 from 3-point range while making all four free throws. His performance highlighted Minnesota’s offensive depth alongside Randle and Gobert.
The Timberwolves will host Sacramento on Friday, aiming to continue their winning streak. Utah returns home to face Indiana on Tuesday as the Jazz look to bounce back from consecutive losses.
