Pistons guard Cade Cunningham and Nuggets center Nikola Jokic have been named the NBA’s Players of the Week for the Eastern and Western Conferences, respectively, according to an announcement from NBA Communications.

Cunningham earned the honor after leading Detroit to four wins over the past week, showcasing his growth as a playmaker and scorer. The guard averaged 31.0 points and 9.8 assists per game while shooting an impressive 54.7 percent from the field.

This marks the second time in Cunningham’s career that he has been recognized as Player of the Week, a reflection of his improved efficiency as the focal point of the Pistons’ offense.

Jokic, meanwhile, continued his usual dominance for Denver, also guiding his team to a 4-0 record during the week. Former MVP posted averages of 31.3 points, 11.3 rebounds, and 13.3 assists, nearly recording a triple-double in every outing.

His blend of scoring, rebounding, and elite passing once again set the tone for the Nuggets’ success.

Other nominees for the Eastern Conference award included Giannis Antetokounmpo (Bucks), Jalen Duren (Pistons), Kon Knueppel (Hornets), Donovan Mitchell (Cavaliers), Norman Powell (Heat), and Karl-Anthony Towns (Knicks).

In the Western Conference, Devin Booker (Suns), Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (Thunder), Trey Murphy III (Pelicans), Julius Randle (Timberwolves), and Alperen Sengun (Rockets) were also in contention.
