Dan Patrick asks Phil Jackson who the player was that he wishes he coached

Here’s Hall of Fame coach Phil Jackson on why he would have liked to coach 1x NBA All-Star Christian Laettner.

(via Dan Patrick Show):

“There are a lot of players that you look at and say, ‘What a terrific player this guy is. He’s overall.’ But I think Laettner is one of the guys I thought never really got to play the way he was capable of playing in the NBA. I would like to coach a guy like that — that had the talent, had some leadership ability — maybe never blossomed as an NBA player.”
