Devin Booker scored 28 points and dished 13 assists to power the Phoenix Suns past the San Antonio Spurs 130-118 on Sunday night in Phoenix. The win gave the Suns back-to-back victories for the first time this season and handed San Antonio its first loss at 5-1.

Grayson Allen and Ryan Dunn each added 17 points for Phoenix. The Suns shot a scorching 58.2 percent from the field and drained 19 of 33 threes.

Victor Wembanyama struggled with nine points on 4-of-14 shooting and six turnovers. The 7-foot-4 star grabbed nine rebounds but was held under 10 points for the first time since October 30, 2024.

Wembanyama had averaged 30.2 points and 14.6 rebounds during the Spurs’ 5-0 start. San Antonio could not overcome the rare off night from their centerpiece.

Phoenix raced ahead early by making 14 of their first 20 three-pointers. The Suns built a 31-point lead in the third quarter.

The home team took a 70-52 edge into halftime after hitting 11 of 15 from deep. Booker already had 14 points and nine assists by the break.

San Antonio trailed 102-78 entering the fourth. The Spurs cut it to 111-97 with 6:24 left but Phoenix responded with an 11-0 run.

The Suns’ bench poured in 50 points. Collin Gillespie led reserves with 15 points off the pine.

Stephon Castle topped San Antonio with 26 points. Keldon Johnson came off the bench for 19 points.

Phoenix played without Jalen Green due to a hamstring issue and Dillon Brooks with a core muscle strain. The Spurs missed De’Aaron Fox with a hamstring problem and Luke Kornet with a sprained ankle.

Royce O’Neale chipped in 11 points and six rebounds for the Suns. Mark Williams added seven points and seven boards.

Harrison Barnes scored 13 points for San Antonio. Devin Vassell managed just four points on 2-of-9 shooting.

Phoenix shot 46-of-79 overall and went 19-for-22 from the line. The Suns committed 20 turnovers but forced 14 from the visitors.

San Antonio hit 45-of-98 from the field and 10-of-41 from three. The Spurs outrebounded Phoenix 41-39 but fell short.

The Suns improved to 3-4 on the season. Phoenix heads to Golden State on Tuesday night.

San Antonio visits the Los Angeles Lakers on Wednesday. The Spurs aim to bounce back from the defeat.
