The Brooklyn Nets have picked up the 2026-27 team option on forward/center Noah Clowney, securing the 21-year-old for a third NBA season.

Clowney, selected 21st overall in the 2023 NBA Draft, is entering the third year of his four-year, $15.1 million rookie scale contract.

Clowney appeared in 46 games last season, starting 20, and averaged 9.1 points and 3.9 rebounds in 22.7 minutes per game. He tallied double-digit points in 21 contests, highlighted by a career-high 29 points, six rebounds, three assists, and two steals against Detroit on January 8.

The 6-foot-8 Spartanburg, S.C., native has already made a mark from beyond the arc. He finished the 2024-25 season with 99 career three-pointers, the ninth-most in franchise history through two NBA seasons, and the most by a Net before turning 21. Clowney recorded five or more threes in four games last year, matching the total by all other Nets age 20 or younger combined.

Clowney made his NBA debut as the third-youngest player in franchise history at just 19 years and 134 days old, playing against Miami on November 25, 2023. Across 69 career games, he holds averages of 8.0 points and 3.8 rebounds in 20.5 minutes per contest, showing consistent growth each season.

Before joining the Nets, Clowney spent one season at the University of Alabama, where he led the Crimson Tide to SEC regular-season and tournament titles and earned All-SEC Freshman Team honors.
