The Golden State Warriors have high expectations this season following their offseason revamp.

It has been over a decade since Stephen Curry earned his first championship with the Warriors, which featured a big three stars alongside Klay Thompson and Draymond Green.

The Warriors’ roster had been unexpectedly dominant at that time under Steve Kerr’s leadership, which resulted in an efficient system with enduring team chemistry. Ultimately, carrying a dynasty that went on to win multiple titles.

Curry, along with Green, witnessed how the organization went through ups and downs, especially in acquiring players to maximize their prime years during the previous season.

Now, the four-time champion as a head coach feels different this year’s season as they acquire a combination of more veterans than young cores.

“I love the roster. And to be honest over my 12 years, I’ve been incredibly blessed with great rosters year in and year out. It’s not always a picture perfect fit. I think the last few years, the fit has been a little tricky at times but this, this feels really good. The puzzle definitely fits well this year.”

Kerr’s main guy is always the two-time MVP, maintaining the high level wherever he goes, just like winning the Olympic gold medal match regardless of age.

“He (Steph) just always looks great… I think the biggest thing when you’re 37 is maintaining the level over the course of 82 games. And it just gets harder and harder and at some point everybody runs into Father Time. And the important thing this year is for us to really navigate the season.”

The head tactician also noted that he has another veteran to rely on when they get Al Horford as a big man addition to the roster, which makes the puzzle perfectly fit.

“I think every player in the league would love to play with Steph Curry… I think it’s a perfect fit for us. And we we’re thrilled that he (Al Horford) felt that way and wanted to come here.”
