Golden State Warriors topped Portland Trail Blazers 118-111 Tuesday at Moda Center. Stephen Curry poured in 28 points on 6-of-15 shooting, including 4-of-11 from deep, to spark the comeback.
Portland seized control early in the first quarter. The Blazers built a 30-22 edge behind Donovan Clingan’s 9 points and 5 offensive rebounds.
Golden State trailed by 9 at halftime, down 61-56. Shaedon Sharpe tallied 14 points for Portland, while Jrue Holiday added 6 points and 4 assists.
The third quarter flipped the script. Warriors outscored Blazers 35-26 to grab a 91-87 lead, with Curry draining three 3-pointers for 26 points total.
Quinten Post led the bench with 16 points on 5-of-11 shooting, including 3-of-9 from beyond the arc. Trayce Jackson-Davis grabbed 10 rebounds alongside 7 points.
Portland fought back in the fourth. Caleb Love erupted for 17 points off the bench, but Golden State held firm for the win.
Will Richard scored 13 points and snagged 6 rebounds in 29 minutes for the Warriors. Al Horford contributed 8 points, 4 rebounds and 2 blocks in 21 minutes.
Brandin Podziemski dished 4 assists with 4 points in 25 minutes. Buddy Hield added 8 points in 22 minutes off the bench.
Gary Payton II tallied 11 points in 17 minutes. Jackson Rowe scored 8 points in 14 minutes.
Draymond Green, Jimmy Butler III, Seth Curry, De’Anthony Melton, Moses Moody and Taevion Kinsey sat out due to coach’s decision for Golden State.
Deni Avdija finished with 15 points and 7 rebounds in 27 minutes for Portland. Clingan posted 15 points and 11 rebounds in 20 minutes.
Holiday ended with 13 points and 6 assists in 27 minutes. Jerami Grant scored 14 points in 24 minutes.
Kris Murray added 4 points and 3 steals in 24 minutes off the bench. Yang Hansen tallied 9 points in 20 minutes.
Sidy Cissoko scored 5 points in 22 minutes. Javonte Cooke managed 1 point in 4 minutes.
Toumani Camara, Robert Williams III, Duop Reath, Damian Lillard, Matisse Thybulle and Scoot Henderson did not play for the Blazers due to coach’s decision.
Jonathan Kuminga exited early after ejection at halftime following a technical foul. He had 7 points and 6 rebounds in 18 minutes.
Warriors shot 42.5% from the field and 36% from three. Blazers hit 38.5% overall but struggled at 20.9% from deep.
