The Milwaukee Bucks are waiving guard Jamaree Bouyea to finalize a two-way contract with Alex Antetokounmpo, according to NBA insider Michael Scotto of HoopsHype.
The move clears a roster spot for Alex, who will join his brothers Giannis and Thanasis in Milwaukee. As ESPN noted, this marks the first time in NBA history that three siblings will share active roster contracts on the same team.
Bouyea, 26, split last season between the Wisconsin Herd and the Austin Spurs in the G League, where he averaged 18.7 points, 4.5 assists, 3.9 rebounds, and 1.8 steals per game on 51% shooting. His production made him one of the G League’s most efficient scoring guards.
Bouyea has played parts of three NBA seasons with the Miami Heat, Washington Wizards, Portland Trail Blazers, San Antonio Spurs, and Bucks. Known for his defensive energy and quickness off the dribble, he remains a candidate for another G League or NBA opportunity once he clears waivers.
Meanwhile, Alex Antetokounmpo, 24, joins Milwaukee after stints in Europe and the G League. The 6-foot-7 forward spent time with clubs in Greece, Montenegro, and Lithuania before returning stateside. He previously played two seasons with the Wisconsin Herd, averaging 5.7 points and 2.9 rebounds last season.
The two-way contract allows Antetokounmpo to split time between the NBA and G League, offering flexibility as the Bucks continue to balance veteran experience with young talent.
