Evan Fournier’s availability for Olympiacos is in doubt heading into a busy week of competition.

The club announced that the veteran swingman is managing “inflammation and pain in his left foot,” which leaves him questionable for Friday’s EuroLeague clash against Dubai and Sunday’s Greek League showdown with Panathinaikos Aktor.

Both games are set to take place at the Peace and Friendship Stadium in Piraeus, beginning with Round 3 of the EuroLeague regular season before shifting to Round 2 of Greece’s Stoiximan GBL.

The 32-year-old French international has already missed time. He was sidelined for the opening round of domestic play, when coach Giorgos Bartzokas’ side cruised past Maroussi.

Before the setback, Fournier had gotten his EuroLeague campaign underway last week, averaging 12.0 points, 3.5 assists, 2.0 rebounds and 1.0 steal across two road games against Baskonia and Real Madrid.

Olympiacos returned from Spain with a 1–1 record. Whether he can return this weekend will depend on how he responds to treatment and training.

Team practices resume Wednesday, and “depending on possible progress over the next few days, Fournier can be ultimately medically cleared to return to action.”

Meanwhile, Olympiacos will remain without other key pieces.

“Keenan Evans, nursing a right knee injury, and Moustapha Fall, expected to be sidelined for the entire season due to a left knee injury, will remain unavailable.”

Dubai, Olympiacos’ next EuroLeague opponent, is also facing health concerns. The club is expected to miss multiple players in Round 3, including Danilo Andjusic, Aleksa Avramovic, Mouhammadou Jaiteh, Nate Mason, and Dzanan Musa.

The stakes for Olympiacos go beyond Friday’s continental matchup. Just two days later comes the first Derby of the Eternal Enemies of the 2025–26 season, when Olympiacos and Panathinaikos meet again at SEF.

Both clubs enter that rivalry clash with 1–0 records, sitting in a tie atop the GBL standings alongside four other teams.
