Real Madrid secured its first victory of the 2025-26 EuroLeague Regular Season by defeating Olympiacos 89-77 at WiZink Center in Round 2 on Thursday night. Both sides now stand at 1-1 in the standings.

Mario Hezonja paced Los Blancos with 18 points, while Gabriel Deck added 13. Eight Madrid players scored at least six points. Tyler Dorsey led the Reds with 20, as Evan Fournier and Sasha Vezenkov followed with 13 apiece. Nikola Milutinov chipped in 10.

The visitors opened hot from beyond the arc, drilling seven consecutive three-pointers in the first quarter. Dorsey’s early shooting spree pushed Olympiacos ahead 15-26, and the Greeks carried a 19-29 advantage after 10 minutes.

Sergio Llull and Hezonja helped cut into the deficit before halftime, but Vezenkov’s scoring run kept Olympiacos in front 47-53 at the break. Real trailed by as many as nine before Campazzo and Okeke fueled a late push.

Momentum shifted in the third quarter when Hezonja tied the game at 57-57 with a three-pointer. Still, Olympiacos held a 64-69 lead entering the final period after Milutinov and Vezenkov answered inside.

The turning point came early in the fourth quarter. Deck’s tip-in tied the contest at 69-69, and Usman Garuba, Andres Feliz, and Walter Tavares powered an 11-0 run. Olympiacos went scoreless for six minutes, allowing Madrid to take control.

Campazzo’s late playmaking sealed the win. He finished with 9 points and 8 assists, while Tavares added 7 points, 4 rebounds, and key rim protection. Madrid’s defense limited the visitors to just 8 points in the fourth quarter after conceding 69 through the first three.

Dorsey’s 20 points were not enough as Olympiacos struggled from the field, shooting 29.6% from deep. Real Madrid, meanwhile, connected on 41.7% from long range and outrebounded their opponents 37-37 but forced 12 turnovers that shifted the balance.
