Jabari Parker once looked destined to be a franchise cornerstone in the NBA.

After starring under Mike Krzyzewski at Duke and being selected second overall in the 2014 draft, Parker was expected to form a long-term partnership with Giannis Antetokounmpo in Milwaukee.

Instead, injuries derailed his career, sending him on stints with the Chicago Bulls, Washington Wizards, Atlanta Hawks, Sacramento Kings, and Boston Celtics without ever finding stability.

By 2023, Parker needed a reset. He found it in Europe, first with Barcelona, and now with Partizan Belgrade.

“This was a special place because it was, like, my resurrection. It was like my rebirth of basketball,” Parker said of his time in Barcelona. “It just shows where I’ve been, and how I had to grow mentally, to be where I’m at right now.”

At age 30, he begins a new EuroLeague campaign with Partizan, driven by one goal.

“I want to win a championship. I’ve been in the playoffs twice. We gotta try to get to Final Four … Together, we can do something special.”
