The Charlotte Hornets have waived guards Isaih Moore and Jaylen Sims, the team confirmed Saturday. The move comes as the franchise finalizes its roster for the 2025–26 NBA season.

Moore, 25, signed with the Hornets following a standout 2024–25 season with the Ottawa BlackJacks in the Canadian Elite Basketball League. He averaged 19.4 points, 11.4 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 1.5 steals, and 1.1 blocks per game, including a career-high 32 points and 14 rebounds in August 2025.

The 6-foot-10 forward also played with the Greensboro Swarm in the G League and the Manchester Giants in the UK’s Super League. Moore’s college career included stops at Fresno State, Southern Mississippi, St. John’s, College of Charleston, and Pearl River Community College.

Sims, 26, became the Greensboro Swarm’s all-time leading scorer with 2,216 points during the 2024–25 season. He helped lead the Swarm to their first G League playoff berth and averaged 7.0 points, 1.0 rebound, and 2.0 assists in six appearances with the Hornets last season.

The Hornets acquired Sims as an undrafted player in 2022, with multiple stints on both Charlotte’s Summer League and G League affiliates. He also signed a 10-day contract in April 2025 before joining the team for the remainder of the season, scoring a career-high 12 points against the Boston Celtics.
