The Los Angeles Lakers have added two new names to their preseason roster.
Keith Smith reported that the franchise signed Anton Watson and Nate Williams to Exhibit 10 contracts while waiving Eric Dixon and Tevian Jones.
Watson, a 2024 second-round pick by the Boston Celtics, has already seen time with multiple NBA teams. After brief stints in Boston and New York, the 6-foot-8 forward averaged 0.9 points in nine appearances with the Knicks during the 2024–25 season.
He spent most of the year in the G League with the Maine Celtics, where he posted 12 points and 5.4 rebounds per game across 21 outings. His ability to defend multiple positions and provide energy on the glass earned him attention despite limited NBA minutes.
Williams, who went undrafted in 2022, has played for Portland and Houston. The guard averaged 3.3 points in 20 games with the Rockets last season before being waived in July.
He also stood out in the G League, where he scored 17.3 points with 4.0 assists in eight games for Rio Grande Valley in 2024–25.
These contracts can be converted into two-way deals or offer a pathway to their G League affiliate if they do not make the regular-season roster.
