New York Knicks center Mitchell Robinson has embraced an unexpected off-court pursuit, revealing he has started his own farm in Nashville. Known for his love of monster trucks and his collection of 19 dogs, Robinson’s new hobby reflects his self-described country boy persona.
Robinson shared the news during a brief interview, keeping details limited to the fact that his farm includes chickens. “Don’t worry about me,” he said, via Stefan Bondy of New York Post, cutting off further questions about the operation.
The 27-year-old big man has faced recent challenges on the court, missing the start of the 2024–25 season due to offseason ankle surgery. He returned to action on February 28, 2025, and has since contributed to the Knicks’ rotation.
Across 17 games this past season, Robinson averaged 5.1 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 1.1 blocks per contest while maintaining a .661 field goal percentage. His presence on defense remains a key component for New York despite limited minutes.
Robinson’s career has been defined by his rim protection and efficient scoring near the basket. Over 337 regular-season games, he has averaged 7.8 points, 7.8 rebounds, and 1.8 blocks per game, maintaining a .700 career field goal percentage.
