The Indiana Pacers have signed forwards Samson Johnson and Gabe McGlothan to Exhibit 10 contracts, assigning both to their G League affiliate, the Noblesville Boom. The move follows the team waiving guards Steven Ashworth and R.J. Felton.
Johnson, a 6-foot-9 forward/center from UConn, played four seasons with the Huskies, finishing last year as a full-time starter. In 34 games during the 2024–25 season, he averaged 7.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 1.5 blocks per game while shooting 76.6% from the field.
Over his collegiate career, Johnson improved steadily, raising his field goal percentage each year and developing into a defensive presence. During the 2025 NBA Summer League, he logged 8.1 minutes per game and contributed 3.0 points and 1.5 rebounds per contest.
McGlothan, a 6-foot-7 forward, went undrafted in the 2024 NBA Draft but spent last season with the Grand Rapids Gold. He averaged 9.2 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 1.4 assists per game while shooting 44.6% from the field and 38.3% from three-point range.
He joined the Noblesville Boom in August through a three-team G League trade. In the 2025 Summer League, McGlothan averaged 4.8 points and 4.8 rebounds over 18.7 minutes per game, showing versatility as a floor-spacing forward.
The Pacers are entering the 2025–26 season without Tyrese Haliburton, sidelined for the year with a torn Achilles, and Myles Turner, who signed with the Milwaukee Bucks. These absences increase the team’s reliance on young talent developing through the G League system.
Exhibit 10 contracts allow players to gain G League experience while keeping the door open for NBA call-ups.
