Dalano Banton is drawing NBA attention after a season-and-a-half with the Portland Trail Blazers, according to Marc Stein of The Stein Line. The free agent guard has auditioned for multiple teams, including the Golden State Warriors and Indiana Pacers.

Banton, 25, became an unrestricted free agent on June 30 after his contract with Portland expired. The Pacers reportedly decided to pass on signing him, while the Warriors continue to evaluate their interest.

The guard was traded from the Boston Celtics to Portland at the 2024 deadline. Since joining the Trail Blazers, Banton has appeared in 97 games, averaging 10.9 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 2.8 assists over 20.6 minutes per game.

Banton showed significant improvement in Portland after limited roles in Toronto and Boston. In the 2023–24 season, he averaged 16.7 points and 4.8 rebounds over 29.2 minutes in 30 games.

Despite overseas interest, Banton is focused on remaining in the NBA.
