The Minnesota Timberwolves have officially signed forward Johnny Juzang, the team announced Monday. Per franchise policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Juzang, 6-foot-7, spent the past three seasons with the Utah Jazz, appearing in 102 games and averaging 7.9 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 1.0 assist in 18.4 minutes per contest.
He posted career highs in 2024–25, including 8.9 points and 2.9 rebounds per game. On March 3, he tied his career best with 27 points and seven rebounds in a road win over the Washington Wizards.
A Los Angeles native, Juzang played collegiately at Kentucky and UCLA. He earned First-Team All-Pac-12 honors in 2022 after averaging 15.6 points per game as a junior with the Bruins.
He was also a standout during the 2021 NCAA Tournament, averaging 19.3 points in nine games and helping UCLA reach the Final Four. His performance landed him on the NCAA Final Four All-Tournament Team.
Minnesota’s addition of Juzang comes as the organization reshapes its roster under new ownership. Marc Lore and Alex Rodriguez officially took control of the franchise this summer following league approval of the sale.
The Timberwolves also added rookie center Joan Beringer with the No. 17 pick and power forward Rasheer Fleming early in the second round of the 2025 NBA Draft.
Juzang now joins a wing rotation featuring Anthony Edwards, Jaden McDaniels, Joe Ingles, and Terrence Shannon Jr. His three-point shooting and scoring versatility could give head coach Chris Finch another option in spacing the floor alongside Minnesota’s established frontcourt of Rudy Gobert, Julius Randle, and Naz Reid.
