Following the earlier departures of Nemanja Nedovic, Branko Lazic, and Luka Mitrovic, Crvena Zvezda has now officially parted ways with Yago Dos Santos.
The Brazilian floor general, who is currently representing his country in the FIBA AmeriCup, was not caught by surprise – his contract, which he had signed in 2023, came to an end this summer and was not renewed.
During his time in Belgrade, Dos Santos played 63 EuroLeague contests, averaging 7.3 points and 3.5 assists per game.
His contributions were key in helping Zvezda capture the 2024 ABA League title, a highlight of his tenure with the Serbian powerhouse.
With his exit, the club continues its roster overhaul and looks ahead to a new era.
Among the reinforcements, Zvezda has already secured former NBA guard Devonte’ Graham to strengthen the backcourt and assume responsibilities at the point guard spot.
