Real Madrid confirmed that newcomer David Krämer has suffered a muscle injury while training with the German national team.

The club announced that medical tests revealed a problem in the adductor longus of his right thigh. The injury occurred during Germany’s preparation camp for EuroBasket 2025.

The timeline for his return remains unclear, with Real Madrid stating his recovery is “pending evolution.” Krämer has therefore been ruled out of Germany’s EuroBasket campaign.

The setback comes less than two months after the 28-year-old signed a one-year contract with Los Blancos. He joined the Spanish powerhouse following an impressive season with La Laguna Tenerife in the ACB, where he averaged 11.1 points across 37 games.

For Real Madrid, the injury halts the momentum of a player expected to add scoring depth and defensive energy on the wing. Standing at 1.96 meters, Krämer was seen as a versatile rotation piece heading into his first full EuroLeague season since 2021.

His professional journey has included stops in Austria, Germany, and the NBA G League before breaking through in Spain’s top league. He also contributed to Germany’s 2023 FIBA World Cup gold medal run, giving him valuable international experience.
