During the 2024/25 season, Shaquille Harrison was part of a veteran ASVEL Basket squad that featured multiple former NBA players. Among them was French center Joffrey Lauvergne, who has been a mainstay for the club over the last three years.

Despite delivering a strong campaign, ASVEL recently confirmed in an official statement that Lauvergne will not be returning for the 2025/26 season.

The 33-year-old big man began his professional career in Europe before being selected in the second round of the 2013 NBA Draft.

He went on to appear in four NBA seasons, suiting up for several teams, with his most recent stint coming for the San Antonio Spurs in 2017/18.
