According to reports from NetsDaily, Cam Thomas is aiming for a substantial contract worth nearly $40 million per year, convinced that his value is on par with – or even exceeds – that of comparable players like Jalen Green, Immanuel Quickley, and Tyler Herro.
A league insider shared with NetsDaily that Thomas is looking at the contracts of these players as benchmarks for his own market value.
Jalen Green is currently earning $33.3 million annually through the 2027-28 season, with a $36 million player option in that final year.
Immanuel Quickley has a deal that pays him $32.5 million per year over the next four seasons, while Tyler Herro is averaging around $32 million per season for the upcoming two years.
The source explained, “That’s where he sees his market, if not higher,” indicating that Thomas’s expectations start at a minimum of $30 million per year but likely approach the $40 million range.
Thomas has played 4 seasons for the Nets. He has averaged 15.1 points, 2.6 rebounds and 2.1 assists in 215 regular-season games.
Cam Thomas reportedly wants nearly $40M a year, believing he deserves as much or more than Jalen Green, Immanuel Quickley, and Tyler Herro, per @NetsDaily
