The NBA is expected to unveil the complete schedule for the 2025–26 regular season sometime next week. While fans still have to wait for the full slate, a number of key matchups and special events have already been revealed or leaked.
The league has officially announced its international showcase games. On November 1, the Detroit Pistons will face the Dallas Mavericks in Mexico City, continuing the NBA’s tradition of bringing regular-season basketball to Latin America.
In Europe, the Orlando Magic and Memphis Grizzlies will be featured in a two-game international series, first clashing in Berlin on January 15 and then meeting again in London on January 18.
Opening Night will reportedly kick off with the Houston Rockets visiting the Oklahoma City Thunder, a night that will double as the Thunder’s championship banner raising and ring ceremony. Later that evening, the Golden State Warriors will head to Los Angeles to battle the Lakers in the marquee West Coast matchup.
As for Christmas Day – the NBA’s annual basketball marathon – the tradition of a five-game lineup will continue.
This year’s holiday schedule is expected to showcase the Cleveland Cavaliers taking on the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden, followed by the San Antonio Spurs against the Thunder, the Rockets visiting the Lakers, the Mavericks traveling to face the Warriors, and the Minnesota Timberwolves squaring off with the Denver Nuggets to close the day.
