Lietuvos Rytas head coach Rimas Kurtinaitis revealed to Krepsinis.net that the main candidate to be the new point guard of the club is Igor Milosevic of Olympiacos. 23-year-old Greek point guard appeared just in five Euroleague games for the Greek giants last season and spent just 3 mintues per game.
Negotiations between Lietuvos Rytas and Olympiacos are still taking place. It is thought that Milosevic is willing to accept a lower wage than he had at Olympiacos for an opportunity to play in Euroleague.
In case negotiations end with nothing, there is a Plan B for Rytas. Rimas Kurtinaitis told that another Serb – Bojan Popovic of Bruesa would be the main target if the club is unable to bring Igor Milosevic. Popovic averaged 6.6 points and 2 assists per game in the Spanish ACb league.
