Undrafted rookie center Lawson Lovering has reached an agreement with the Memphis Grizzlies on an Exhibit 10 contract, according to Jon Chepkevich of DraftExpress.

Lovering had previously played for the Grizzlies during both the Salt Lake City and Las Vegas Summer Leagues, showcasing enough potential to earn a training camp invitation.

The 7-foot center went undrafted in the 2025 NBA Draft after completing his collegiate career at the University of Utah. Prior to transferring to Utah, Lovering played two seasons at Colorado (2021–2023).

In his final college season with the Utes, he started all 28 games he appeared in, averaging 8.4 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 2.7 assists over 23.8 minutes per game – demonstrating improved versatility and playmaking for his size.

During Summer League play with Memphis, Lovering appeared in seven games across both events, averaging 3.4 points and 3.1 rebounds in just under 13 minutes per game.

He shot an efficient 62.5% from the field, providing a glimpse of his scoring efficiency around the rim.

The Exhibit 10 deal gives the Grizzlies flexibility with Lovering. The contract could be converted into a two-way deal before the regular season, giving him a potential path to the NBA roster.

If waived, he would be eligible for a bonus of up to $85,300, provided he spends at least 60 days with the team’s G League affiliate, the Memphis Hustle.

That makes it likely he’ll remain in the organization this fall, even if he doesn’t immediately make the NBA roster.
