The 2025–26 salaries for both Los Angeles Clippers guard James Harden and Boston Celtics guard Josh Minott are now fully guaranteed, according to recent updates.

When Harden and Minott signed their new contracts earlier this month, their salaries for the first year of the deals were not initially fully guaranteed.

However, that was largely a procedural move rather than a reflection of their value or status.

By structuring the deals this way, both the Clippers and the Celtics were able to maintain flexibility and avoid locking in guaranteed second-year salaries for the 2026–27 season.

In Harden’s case, his substantial $39.2 million salary for the 2025–26 campaign became fully guaranteed after July 11.

For Minott, a younger player on a smaller deal, his $2.4 million salary for the same season became fully guaranteed a few days later, on July 15.

These delayed guarantees were built into the contracts as timing mechanisms, but in practice, both players were expected to receive their full salaries once those key guarantee dates passed without any roster moves from their respective teams.
