The Oklahoma City Thunder revealed their full 2025 preseason schedule on Sunday, giving fans the first look at the defending NBA champions’ path to the new season. The team will play six exhibition games, with two contests at Paycom Center and four on the road.

Oklahoma City tips off the preseason on Oct. 5 against the Charlotte Hornets in Charleston, South Carolina. The following night, the Thunder face the Dallas Mavericks in Fort Worth, Texas, completing a back-to-back set.

On Oct. 9, the Thunder make their preseason home debut against Charlotte before heading back on the road for two more matchups. Oklahoma City visits the Indiana Pacers on Oct. 11 and the Milwaukee Bucks on Oct. 14.

The preseason wraps up on Oct. 17 when the Thunder host the Denver Nuggets at Paycom Center, offering fans another opportunity to watch the reigning champions before the regular season begins.

Tickets for preseason games will go on sale after the release of the 2025-26 regular-season schedule, which is expected in August.

Broadcast details for the Thunder’s preseason games will be announced at a later date, according to the team.

Oklahoma City enters the 2025-26 campaign fresh off a historic season that included the franchise’s second NBA championship and the state of Oklahoma’s first major professional sports title. Led by MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, the Thunder posted the league’s best regular-season record, secured home-court advantage throughout the playoffs, and defeated the Indiana Pacers in a seven-game NBA Finals series.

The Thunder made history with their dominant regular-season point differential and became the fourth team in NBA history to win at least 84 games in a season, including playoffs. With an average age of just 25.6, they also became the second youngest team ever to win an NBA championship.
