The Boston Celtics have reached an agreement with free agent forward Josh Minott on a two-year, $5 million contract, according to ESPN’s Shams Charania.
The 22-year-old joins the reigning Eastern Conference runner-ups after spending three seasons with the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Minott, a 6-foot-8 wing, appeared in 46 games for Minnesota during the 2024–25 season, averaging 2.6 points and 1.0 rebounds in 6.0 minutes per contest.
He shot 48.9 percent from the field and 32.6 percent from three, providing solid efficiency in limited action.
Drafted 45th overall in 2022 out of Memphis, Minott never cracked the Timberwolves’ regular rotation but showed flashes as a versatile defender and energy player.
In 93 regular season games across three years, he averaged 2.3 points and 1.0 rebounds while converting 48.8 percent of his field goal attempts.
