All signs point to Devin Booker committing his future to the Phoenix Suns with a two-year contract extension worth approximately $150 million, according to ESPN’s Brian Windhorst.

The deal would keep the 28-year-old All-Star guard in Phoenix through the 2027–28 season as he enters the second year of his current four-year, $220 million contract.

Windhorst reported that Booker has remained closely involved in major organizational decisions, including the hiring of new head coach Jordan Ott and the trade that sent Kevin Durant to Houston.

Booker averaged 25.6 points, 7.1 assists and 4.1 rebounds over 75 games in the 2024–25 season, shooting 46.1% from the field and 33.2% from three.

Despite his production, Phoenix finished 36–46 and missed the playoffs, prompting a wave of offseason changes.

The Suns fired Mike Budenholzer just one season into his five-year deal and promoted former vice president of player programming Brian Gregory to general manager.

They also finalized a blockbuster deal that shipped Durant to the Rockets in exchange for Jalen Green, Dillon Brooks, multiple second-round picks, and two early second-round draft selections: Rasheer Fleming and Koby Brea.

Phoenix used its reacquired 2025 first-round pick to draft Khaman Maluach, a 7-foot-2 freshman center out of Duke.

Owner Mat Ishbia vowed to restore the franchise’s competitive identity, signaling a renewed focus on building around Booker and a younger core.

The reported Booker extension would be the richest two-year deal in league history by average annual value, reinforcing his standing as the franchise centerpiece.

Booker has spent his entire NBA career with the Suns since being drafted 13th overall in 2015.
