The Miami Heat have extended qualifying offers to guards Davion Mitchell and Dru Smith ahead of Sunday’s deadline, according to Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel.
The move makes Mitchell a restricted free agent, while Smith remains eligible for a two-way contract in 2025–26. No offer was issued to Isaiah Stevens, signaling the team will not retain his rights.
Mitchell, 26, joined Miami midseason after being traded by Toronto. He played 30 games with the Heat and posted career-best numbers, averaging 10.3 points and 5.3 assists per contest while shooting 50.4% from the field and 44.7% from three-point range.
He completed his four-year, $20 million rookie contract and emerged as a steady rotation contributor for a Heat team that finished 10th in the East and earned the final playoff spot through the Play-In.
Smith, 27, spent the season on a two-way deal. He played in 14 games for Miami and averaged 6.2 points and 1.6 assists in 19.1 minutes, shooting 53.3% from beyond the arc.
Stevens, 24, appeared in just three games and played a total of six minutes. The undrafted rookie did not record a point in limited action and now enters unrestricted free agency.
