The Milwaukee Bucks, despite not holding a first-round pick in the upcoming 2025 NBA Draft, have expressed clear interest in two projected mid-first round prospects. According to Gery Woelfel, the team interviewed Carter Bryant from Arizona and Nique Clifford from Colorado State.
Bryant is an athletic 3-and-D wing known for his defensive versatility and shooting ability. This season, he averaged 6.5 points and 4.1 rebounds in 19.3 minutes per game. His shooting splits include 46.0% from the field and 37.1% from three-point range.
Clifford, a shooting guard, put up stronger scoring numbers this season with an 18.9 points per game average, while playing 35.4 minutes. He also contributed 9.6 rebounds and 4.4 assists per game. His shooting percentages include 49.6% overall and 37.7% from deep.
The Bucks are in a unique position this year as they lack a first-round pick due to previous trades. Yet, their interest in Bryant and Clifford suggests they are actively exploring options to bolster their roster through potential trades or draft-day moves.
Milwaukee finished the 2024–25 regular season with a 48–34 record, clinching their ninth consecutive playoff berth. Despite a promising season, they were eliminated in the first round by the Indiana Pacers for the second straight year.
With the Dallas Mavericks securing the top pick in the 2025 draft lottery, the Bucks will need to be strategic to add talent.
