ImageAs TalkBasket.net reported two days ago, Montepaschi Siena was seriously interested in Nikos Zisis and had offered him a very lucrative contract offer and it is now official, Zisis accepted the offer and is now a Motepaschi Siena player.
The contract signed has a 1+1 duration, with the Italian team having the option and while no financial details were given to publicity, it is rumoured that Nikos Zisis will be earning 800.000 per season.

The Greek combo guard, who spent the past two seasons playing for CSKA Moscow is going to replace the Lithuanian winger Rimantas Kaukenas who is on his way to Real Madrid. The Greek International star had also an offer to return to his homeland Greece but he rejected Olympiacos' offer because it didn't represent his value, being a 1 year offer worth 500.000 euros.

Zisis has played in the Euroleague wearing the jerseys of AEK, Benetton and CSKA Moscow while he is a regular member of the Greece National Team which he led to the Gold medal at the Eurobasket 2005 being their top scorer.
