As the Phoenix Suns prepare for a potentially transformative offseason, two of their biggest names – Kevin Durant and Bradley Beal – are at the center of speculation, though under very different circumstances.

According to ESPN’s Shams Charania, Kevin Durant is expected to draw serious interest from approximately four to six teams this summer.

Before the February trade deadline, teams such as the Knicks, Warriors, Timberwolves, Rockets, Spurs, and Heat reportedly expressed some level of interest in acquiring the two-time Finals MVP.

John Gambadoro of Arizona Sports has also identified the Clippers as a team to keep an eye on if the Suns explore a Durant trade.

Durant still holds significant value across the league, but the Suns may face more difficulty moving another All-Star: Bradley Beal.

Despite Phoenix’s desire to part ways with the veteran guard, Beal’s massive contract, nearly $111 million over the next two seasons, combined with his no-trade clause, presents major hurdles.

According to Gambadoro, if the Suns are unable to find a trade partner for Beal, a buyout could be considered. However, it’s uncertain whether Beal would agree to that outcome.

If not, Phoenix may be forced to keep him on the roster and attempt to rebuild his value.

Gambadoro notes that head coaching candidates interviewed by the Suns were asked specifically how they would manage Beal’s role moving forward.

With Durant still commanding league-wide interest and Beal’s future hanging in the balance, the Suns enter the offseason facing tough decisions that could shape their trajectory for years to come.
