Fenerbahce beat Panathinaikos (82-76) in the first semifinal, taking their first win against Pao this season. Nigel Hayes-Davis was still adjusting his feelings after for the first time reaching the Finals in the EuroLeague.
“I feel pretty good. We got away with the win, we were up to eleven five minutes and then we had close game. During the season, we had been in similar situations and went home empty handed. Luckily we didn’t do that today”, said Nigel Hayes-Davis who admitted that he still doesn’t know how to react.
“I don’t know how to act, I have never been in the Championship game at the Final Four. Last two times I was here I lost in the first round. I know it is a great opportunity but the job is not finish. We will now try to enjoy this win, spend some time with family and friends, but after small break we still have job to do and prepare for the next challenge”, said Fenerbahce power forward who made it to his first final.
