Despite the Golden State Warriors facing a daunting 3-1 deficit in their second-round playoff matchup against the Minnesota Timberwolves, Stephen Curry remains cautious about his comeback.

The star guard has not played since Game 1, sidelined by a strained left hamstring, and is not planning to hurry his return to the court.

“Even if I wanted to be Superman, I couldn’t,” Curry remarked, acknowledging the limitations his injury places on his recovery and emphasizing that his return will be dictated by health, not urgency.

Curry’s comment echoed a sentiment shared by his teammate Draymond Green, who earlier stated the team wouldn’t try to “Superman this thing,” in other words, they wouldn’t force a miracle or take unnecessary risks in Curry’s absence.

The guard is scheduled for a medical reevaluation on Wednesday. If the Warriors win Game 5 and keep their season alive, it would buy him three extra days of recovery time before a potential Game 6.
