Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr announced that star guard Stephen Curry is currently listed as day-to-day after sustaining a left hamstring strain. The injury occurred during the team’s victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves in Game 1 of their playoff series.
Curry is scheduled to undergo an MRI on Wednesday to determine the extent of the damage. Until then, his status remains uncertain.
“We’re approaching the next game as if Steph won’t be available,” Kerr told reporters. “We’re not ruling anything out just yet, but at this point, we need to prepare for alternative offensive strategies in case he’s unable to go.”
The timing adds to the challenge for Golden State, as the playoff schedule provides minimal recovery time – only one rest day is built into the stretch between Games 1 and 5, leaving little room for recuperation in what is already a tightly contested series.
