Boston Celtics star Jrue Holiday seems to be making progress in his recovery from a hamstring strain. He participated fully in practices this week as the team gears up for the start of their second-round playoff matchup against the New York Knicks on Monday.

“He was able to do everything that we worked on. Getting better every day,” Celtics head coach Joe Mazzulla said regarding Holiday’s involvement in recent team activities.

Holiday sustained the injury to his right hamstring during Boston’s Game 2 win over the Orlando Magic in the first round of the playoffs. He was subsequently sidelined for the next three contests, though the Celtics still managed to close out the series in five games.

In his absence, veteran forward Al Horford filled the starting role for Games 3 through 5. Boston is expected to issue their initial injury report for Game 1 of the next round on Sunday.
