Real Madrid gained a 2-1 edge in its EuroLeague playoff series with Olympiacos after defeating the Greek side 80-72 in Game 3 on Tuesday night at the Movistar Arena.

The hosts limited Olympiacos to just 28 second-half points, recovering from a halftime deficit sparked by a 0-13 run.

Walter Tavares led Real Madrid with 15 points on 5-of-6 shooting, while Dzanan Musa and Mario Hezonja added 14 apiece in a balanced offensive effort.

Olympiacos forward Sasha Vezenkov paced all scorers with 21 points, with Nigel Williams-Goss contributing 17 and Saben Lee adding 11.

Los Blancos opened the game with hot perimeter shooting as Musa and Campazzo hit early triples, while Tavares dominated the interior with three consecutive dunks to establish an 18-13 lead.

Hezonja and Musa followed with three-pointers, and Andres Feliz closed the quarter with back-to-back baskets to give the home team a 28-21 cushion.

Sergio Llull started the second quarter with a difficult jumper, but the visitors responded with 10 unanswered points led by Lee and Williams-Goss to claim a 30-31 advantage.

Real Madrid briefly regained control with a 6-0 spurt, but Olympiacos answered with a 13-0 run capped by back-to-back slams from Moses Wright to enter halftime ahead, 38-44.

Musa opened the third period with a fast-break layup before baskets from Tavares and Hezonja tied the score at 46-46.

Vezenkov then added five straight points to push the Reds back in front, but a corner three by Hezonja and a midrange jumper from Llull helped Madrid close the quarter up 58-56.

Luca Vildoza hit a floater early in the fourth, but Real Madrid countered with a 9-2 run sparked by Usman Garuba to create a 67-60 gap.

Alberto Abalde added a three-pointer and Serge Ibaka followed with a jumper to extend the lead to 72-62 with under five minutes remaining.

Vezenkov brought Olympiacos back within reach with a four-point play and a deep three, and Lee cut it to a two-possession game with free throws.

However, Campazzo sealed the outcome with six straight points, securing the win for the 11-time EuroLeague champions.

Game 4 of the best-of-five series is scheduled for Thursday, with Real Madrid now one win away from returning to the Final Four.
