Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry has been honored with the 2024-25 Twyman-Stokes Teammate of the Year Award, a recognition given annually to the player who exemplifies selfless play, strong leadership, mentorship, and an unwavering commitment to his teammates and the broader NBA community.
Curry secured the award after earning 66 first-place votes and accumulating a total of 1,257 points, narrowly edging out Memphis Grizzlies center Steven Adams, who finished a close second with 1,237 points.
The rest of the top five vote-getters included Jalen Brunson of the New York Knicks, veteran big man DeAndre Jordan, and Boston Celtics forward Nicolas Tatum.
The Twyman-Stokes Award, named in honor of Jack Twyman and Maurice Stokes – two players whose friendship and loyalty defined sportsmanship – has historically been awarded to players known for their off-court leadership as much as their on-court production.
Jrue Holiday had previously dominated the award, winning it three times over the past five seasons, while Mike Conley claimed the honor last season for the second time in his career.
