In a thrilling Game 4 victory, the Minnesota Timberwolves rallied from a 10-point deficit entering the fourth quarter to defeat the Los Angeles Lakers 116-113. The win gives Minnesota a commanding 3-1 series lead, and Donte DiVincenzo played a pivotal role in the team’s successful late-game push.

DiVincenzo discussed the collective effort of the unit that closed the game. “We were just connected,” he said. “On offense, anybody could make plays, and Ant (Anthony Edwards) was doing his thing. On defense, we could switch and be physical. When it’s winning time, you just focus on doing whatever it takes to win.”

Edwards led the Timberwolves with 43 points, sinking crucial free throws in the final moments to help seal the win. Minnesota trailed by 12 points late in the third but outscored the Lakers 32-19 in the fourth. McDaniels’ three-point play and steal helped shift momentum in their favor.

DiVincenzo’s contributions were equally important, offering both defensive intensity and key plays in the closing minutes. He credited Edwards’ leadership and preparation, adding, “Ant’s been watching more film, really locking in. His high basketball IQ is helping us in critical moments like these.”

The Lakers, despite strong performances from Luka Doncic and LeBron James, couldn’t keep pace in the final stretch. Doncic, who scored 38 points, struggled in the fourth, making just one of six attempts. James added 27 points and 12 rebounds but was held scoreless in the final period.

The Timberwolves now have a chance to close out the series in Game 5, scheduled for Wednesday in Los Angeles. With their depth and Edwards’ continued dominance, Minnesota is poised to advance to the second round.
