Detroit Pistons forward Isaiah Stewart has officially been ruled out for Game 4 of the playoff series against the New York Knicks because of a knee injury.
After participating in the opening game of the series, Stewart has been sidelined and will now miss his third consecutive matchup.
Head coach J.B. Bickerstaff addressed Stewart’s status, expressing concern about the likelihood of his return shortly.
“It would be really difficult to put him in that situation,” Bickerstaff said, suggesting that Stewart’s recovery timeline may prevent him from playing at all during the first round of the postseason.
The team is preparing for a crucial Game 5, which is scheduled for Tuesday, but Stewart’s availability remains highly doubtful as the team navigates the remainder of the series without one of their key frontcourt contributors.
