Lithuanian website Krepsinis.net reports that Italian league finalists are close to signing a contract with Jonas Maciulis. Zalgiris forward expressed his desire to leave Kaunas once the season has finished. Recently he made comments to the media saying that he made a mistake when he rejected Real Madrid's offer and stayed with Zalgiris last summer.
Jonas Maciulis averaged 14 points and 5 rebounds per games last season in Euroleague. 24-year-old forward had similar statistics in Lithuanian league with 14.5 points and 4.3 rebounds per game.
If the deal comes through Maciulis would become already third Lithuanian player in AJ Milano. The club has recently signed Marijonas Petravicius and they also have Mindaugas Katelynas who is likely to remain in Milan.
