Denver Nuggets veteran guard Russell Westbrook remained vague when questioned about whether he would be available for Tuesday’s critical Game 5, according to a tweet from ESPN’s Ramona Shelburne.
When reporters pressed him on his status, Westbrook brushed off the inquiry, labeling it a “trick question” and offering only a brief, somewhat cryptic response: “I’ll be in the building.”
His comments leave plenty of uncertainty about whether he’ll suit up, though his presence around the team seems assured.
Westbrook has played 17 seasons for 6 teams, including the Thunder and Clippers. He has averaged 21.2 points, 8.0 assists, and 7.0 rebounds in 1,237 regular-season games.
He was selected to play in 9 All-Star games, and has won 1 MVP award.
