Golden State Warriors forward Jimmy Butler has officially been ruled out of Game 3 against the Houston Rockets as he continues to recover from a deep contusion to the glute muscle.
Butler’s absence is a significant blow, as he is one of the team’s key contributors on both ends of the floor.
In his place, Jonathan Kuminga is expected to move into the starting lineup, providing athleticism and energy to help fill the void left by Butler’s injury.
Kuminga’s increased role could be pivotal as the team looks for ways to maintain their intensity without their star player.
Additionally, Quinten Post will be inserted into the starting lineup as well, joining Draymond Green and Kuminga in the Warriors’ frontcourt.
Post’s size and versatility will be important, especially against Houston’s physical style of play.
